1. Have you ever used YouTube? If so what for and why did you use this rather than a more conventional form of media?
Entertainment, tutorials, learning, how to fix it.
I use youtube to check out what cars are hot at the moment and for reviews on new cars, i also use youtube to see what car parts are like, looking from a performance and entertainment point of view, for example how loud is this exhaust how does this part change performance in my car.
Alot of the time i watch youtube to watch something funny which some one has told me about or shown me on their computer.
My band uses youtube to post our songs and to get our name out so that soon we can play gigs and have lots of people turnup and get famous. we also use youtube to watch other bands music videos to see what kind of music they are playing.
My car is unreliable and sometimes and i need to fix it , youtube has many handy tutorials which show you step by step how to fix cars, appliances and other things. there is a tutorial for how to fix most things in the world.
2. Look at one of the most viewed videos on YouTube today, why do you think it is so popular? How many people have watched it/like it/commented on it?
The two most watch videos today
The first is of the tsunami crisis in japan, this is the most recent natural disaster. This is popular because people are curious to know what happened and what damage the disaster has caused.
The second video is a black ops gaming video which is could be very popular because there a large online community of players. games are addictive. and the size of the community is growing and some are getting more and more into the game and tyring to find ways of beating each other better and quicker.
