You get to learn about each individual and their acting history by clicking on the silhouettes of the characters at the bottom.

There are lots of links at the bottom which aren't about the film directly, but are about things shown within the film for example "customize your own VW van" and "customize your own converse". It also links to other pages to do with the film, i.e connecting to Myspace.com. The pictures on the website make the viewer interact because they are links to other pages with-in the website.
Why do you think these methods are being used for this film?
The makers of the film, want to draw in more audience, naturally, people watching the film will subconsciously be attracted to for instance the VW van, so they're just collecting more.

You learn about all the characters individually by clicking on our misfits.

It has links to facebook and Twitter but it also links to other young teen programms such as Skins.

You can post comments about the show or the characters on the website and you can play 'wicked' games.

Everyone can access the website (as long as they have the internet of course)
Research into wider marketing strategies on the web as well as the website is there a buzz being created for the show?
On Twitter the main character's tweeted about themselves which helped getting an audience. They also created a direct to you tube video clips. And a tv promo advert and a limited edition graphic novel about the show was release to university campuses. In addition to this there was adverts in magazines and newspapers.
